Touchscreen - making it easy for the customers to choose products
A touch screen is a practical device which makes it possible to expose an unlimited number of high value products in a minimal space. A touch screen can either be placed as a complete, standalone pillar in the cash register area or they can be integrated in the line of the cash register itself. A touch screen is easy to use both for the customers and for the stores.
A touch screen is the ideal and approved method for sale of tobacco acc. to the law for tobacco of January 2010 (Norway).
For the customers:
The customer interface is simple and intuitive and makes shopping by screen fast and lucid. By pressing just three keys, the customer chooses his/her product and receives a neutral receipt printed out. This receipt is delivered in the cash register as any other product. When paying, the product receipt is activated and the product is handed out from the dispenser ouside the cash register area when the receipt is scanned.
The customer is easily guided through three screenshots; category, brand and the product itself. See the screenshot above.
The welcome screenshot shows which product category you can choose from; i.e. tobacco products, razor blades etc. All the product categories are marked with both symbol and text.
Neither the product receipt or the product card have any value until they are activated by the personnel, or after the product is extradicted from the dispenser.
For the store:
For the store, the touchscreen is both space and time saving. You only need to change paper roll when it is empty. Updates are easily downloaded from Vensafe's database. Prices can also easily be added and changed. If you have several touchscreens in the store, the changes needs only to be done in one place and all the other screens are updated in the same process.
